Walk Wisconsin Event Information
Event at a glance
This event takes place primarily on the beautiful Green Circle
Trail. This trail links scenic natural areas in Stevens Point and
Plover, that follow along the Wisconsin and Plover Rivers.
Participants will be able to pace themselves through the use of mile
markers. Comfort/nutrition stops are open based on official start
times. Please no pets or strollers for marathon events. Finishers
will receive a medallion and will join the other event participants
between 2:00PM - 5:30PM for a finish line picnic and entertainment.
Event check-in will take place at the
Pfiffner Park building, 401
Franklin Street, along Stevens Point's downtown riverfront. All
registered attendees are required to check in before walking. At
check in participants will be given a sports sack, t-shirt, course
map, event information, participant number/wristband and will view a
short video.

On the
Course:
Rest
stops will be positioned at regular intervals along the course where
nutrition, fluids, and restrooms will be available for participants.
Marathon Cost:
$25.00 ($35.00 registration fee after May 1st, 2010).
The $25 registration fee covers the cost of the sports sack,
t-shirt, refreshments and food stops along the route, finish
celebration, medallion and more.
A portion of the proceeds for Walk Wisconsin go to the Wellness Fund
at the Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin. The remaining
funds are used to fuel new and on-going wellness orientated
activities and events to promote healthy people and lifestyles such
as Kids Walk Wisconsin, Real Wisconsin-Bike Tour and Moon Walk
Wisconsin.
