Join us for Walk Wisconsin, the Midwest's Premier Walking Event, June 7th, 2008!

The Community Foundation of Portage County, along with the National Wellness Institute, Ministry Health Care, Stevens Point Journal, Delta Dental Plan of Wisconsin, First Law Group and numerous other sponsors from throughout Central Wisconsin invite you to join us for the fourth annual Walk Wisconsin on June 7, 2008.

The full-marathon, half-marathon and quarter-marathon options utilize the beautiful trail systems in and around Portage County’s urban area. This is not a competitive race, but one that encourages walkers of all ages and ability levels.

Walk Wisconsin participants will enjoy an event organized much like a regular running marathon. Those involved will receive a commemorative T-shirt, gifts, comfort and nutrition stops along the way, a finish line celebration and medallion, plus hometown hospitality all day long.

Walk Wisconsin Sanctioned as a one-day American Volkssport Association (AVA)event!

Hearty Sole Walkers of Fond du Lac has sanctioned Walk Wisconsin as an AVA one-day event. Pre-register by May 30, 2008 for AVA Credit, only $3.00 {You also need to be registered for Walk Wisconsin). For more info, contact Renee Soles at solesrr@thesurf.com for the AVA registration or visit the AVA web-site, www.ava.org.
